My first published short story appears in Ravens & Roses Publishing's anthology Tales Untold: Mythos Around the World, released November 15th, 2022. The story is titled The Fairy Soldier's Last Request, and is a prequel to my Servants of the Moon and Sun series set in the distant past, well before Talia's birth.

A Goodreads reviewer named Fiona Ross said,
"[F]or subject matter, world building, writing style and skill in execution, my favourites were 'The Fairy Soldier's Last Request' and 'The Tomb of Squire Cabell.'"
An Amazon reviewer named Kevin said I did a "[g]reat job building a complex and rich world in a short story" and included "[l]ots of interesting lore."
Another Goodreads reviewer, Srivalli Rekha, rated my story (along with 3 others of the 15!) 4 stars, and said it "got interesting as it progressed." She also said she "love[d] the flow and execution."

Two previous prequel short stories set in more recent times, After Four Days of Rain and Dancing to the Fairy Reel, won the 2021 and 2022 Con Carolinas Virtual Writing Competitions, respectively.
After Four Days of Rain is available exclusively to those who sign up for my mailing list. Please see the signup form on the home page if this is of interest to you.
Dancing to the Fairy Reel is not presently available anywhere, but please check back periodically for updates if this sounds intriguing to you!
